Honest answer
Do you still need AI if you already have Tradify, Fresha or Xero?
It's the right question to ask before spending anything. The short version: those tools are excellent at storing your data and running your day, but they wait for you to act. AI is the layer that acts on the data for you — and most of the AI features bundled into your existing software go unused. Here's the honest breakdown.
The features you're already paying for but not using
Tradify, Fresha, Phorest, Xero and QuickBooks all ship with "smart" features now — automated reminders, suggested follow-ups, cashflow nudges, AI-written messages. The problem is almost never that they're missing; it's that they're buried, fiddly to set up, and nobody on a busy team has an afternoon spare to configure them. So they sit switched off, and you keep doing the work by hand.
What an AI layer actually adds on top
Your software is a brilliant filing cabinet. What it doesn't do is pick up the phone when you can't, reply to an Instagram DM at 11pm, decide a leak is an emergency, or chase an overdue invoice three times in your tone of voice. An AI layer sits across the tools you already own and handles those moments — the responsive, judgement-based, human-sounding work that happens between the records your software stores. It's the difference between a system that remembers and a system that responds.
Tradify, Fresha and Xero, specifically
With Tradify, the data's all there — jobs, quotes, invoices — but the missed call and the slow quote still cost you work; AI catches the enquiry and turns it into a ready-to-price job. With Fresha or Phorest, the diary is solid, but the no-show, the unfilled gap and the after-hours DM still leak revenue; AI closes those. With Xero or QuickBooks, the books are accurate, but late payers still drag your cashflow; AI does the polite, persistent chasing. In each case we're not replacing the tool — we're making the engine you've already bought finally drive.
When you honestly don't need us
If you've already got your software's automations switched on and working, your phone is always answered, your diary runs full and your invoices get paid on time — you don't need an AI layer, and we'll tell you so. We'd rather lose a sale than sell you something you won't use. Often the most valuable outcome of a discovery call is simply switching on the features you're already paying for.
How to tell which camp you're in
The quickest way is to put your real numbers — enquiries, missed calls, average job value, admin hours — into our calculator and see whether there's meaningful money being left on the table. If there isn't much, brilliant. If there is, that gap is exactly what an AI layer is for, and a 30-minute call will tell you which of your existing tools' features we can turn on and which jobs need something new.
No hard sell: our discovery call ends with a short list of what's worth doing — including the free fixes — whether or not you work with us.
